About Us
Engadine Community Services (ECS) is a not-for-profit, non-government registered charity that has been serving the community since 5th June 1971. We lease community space in Engadine Community Centre from Sutherland Shire Council. Through the efforts of our amazing team of volunteers and part-time staff, and contract exercise instructors, ECS runs a range of services to promote health and well-being.​

ECS is overseen by a volunteer Management Committee, in line with our constitution, relevant legislation and funding contracts with NSW and Australian Government, and Sutherland Shire Council. Current members all live locally:

Our Staff
Manager
Julie works closely with the ECS Management Committee to oversee day-to-day operations of the organisation, including liaison with government funders, development of policy and procedures, WHS, promotion and direct supervision of paid staff.
Aged Services Coordinator
Lynette oversees volunteers in the community and contractors in the centre to deliver individual and group social support services to eligible seniors, with Australian Government funding through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and client fees.

Finance Officer
Mona manages accounts payable and payroll, as well as insurances etc in conjunction with the Treasurer and ECS Manager.
Building Communities Coordinator
Lee & Karen oversee a team of office volunteers to manage services provided in the Resource Centre, with funding from Sutherland Shire Council and client fees.
Lee oversees volunteers, room hirers and contractors in the centre to manage services for children and their families, including Sutherland Shire Toy Library, with funding through the NSW Targeted Earlier Intervention (TEI) Program and client fees.
Project Assistant
Karen supports the ECS Manager, Management Committee and specific projects, including the Collaborative Against Abuse of Older People in Sutherland Shire.
Our Volunteers
The engine room of our organisation, volunteers are essential to every aspect of our operation and help us integrate and respond to community needs.
IT and Communications
Liam creates promotional material, manages social media marketing, and assists with IT administration in the office.
